A few more photos from recording my next project at Backseat Productions in Ann Arbor, MI.  Michigan great Serge Van Der Voo (Orpheum Bell) worked his magic on upright bass and makes “Stone Bright Solid” a dark gem. We were also treated to some tasty cello from Micah Ling.  There was a lot of vocalizing going on and I was happy with the emotive quality of the tracking. Of course,  all was helped along by some Left Foot Charley hard cider, we did a blend of Cinnamon Girl and the Ginger.  Long day – but totally productive. Keith Kinnear was truly the jawn behind the jawn with his mad engineering skills. And, of course, a big thanks to producer Chris Bathgate who not only continues to wow me with his subtle genius, but also cooks up a mean breakfast at the lakehaus. There’s still more to come with production and mix down – and I’m excited how this project is taking shape!

Chris will be getting some more sessions players in and we’ll nail this. So excited to share the music soon!
