The Glory White

Los Morillos Lighthouse Cabo Rojo Puerto - by Angela Josephine for "The Glory White", a poem about losing a loved one

A tribute to a friend who lost her husband, but also a tribute to anyone who has lost a loved one.

the glory white

what gates have gone

and opened wide

this bluebird song

this great divide

our lives as hold

the break of day

and so i stay

and so i say

all glory bold

upon his brow

a grateful gold

a tender how

yet here we are

this side of grace

left to face

left to place

these fragrant stars

about our feet

remember wide

the narrow sweet

and wonder awed

by string drawn tight

unwinds to bind

in holy flight

unwinds to blind

the glory white
